When I go home in May next year will I really be able to tell people of some of the things we have seen and experienced here in Africa?  People constantly ask what’s going on, what are you doing, what wonderful things have you seen or done?  Though that is fine, wonderful things are happening and God is moving in amazing ways but do they really want to know the hard things of Africa.  The reason why we are here?  Do they ask wanting to know about the people laying alone in the hospital dying.  Do they ask expecting to hear about the child whose eyes you look into everyday knowing that they have aids and might not be there next week when you get there.  There is so much hope here in Africa mixed in with all the hurt and despair but will people want to listen long enough to hear about what is really happening here and how God is moving in that.

I am Carrie Ingram’s mother and am trying to get to know her team through your blogs. I hope you know that there are many people that DO want to know about your experiences. All of us are not called to go, but we are called to pray or to give financial support or even verbal support. We do appreciate all that you are doing in Jesus’ name. We will continue to pray for you as you are doing what you are called to do. We also pray for all the people that you are ministering to so that they will accept your words and and actions, and then develop a true relationship with our God.
